It was really great to get a comedy for a change at the TSB Showplace, put on by the local Operatic Society. I get sick of the all the singing and dancing productions, and this time I had a really good laugh. I thought the show was to a very high standard in all ways. Costumes, singing and dancing. All the main characters stayed in their "character" really well, especially their foreign accents.

The Producers was hilarious - the cast is so professional, the set is amazing and the performance was outstanding! it's just simply awesome!

enjoyed the whole idea of the show, the actors were great. Only fault was with the programme. No mention of who played who and if you follow these shows its essential to know this information.

Being a Mel Brooks musical I expected over the top acting, which it definitely was. The main character I enjoyed (as I did them all) but I just wondered at times if he was impersonating someone else. He was just so much like the actor Nathan Lane in movement and voice, but he didn't miss a beat with the character. I had lots of laughs, hats off to the company they did so well and it was a great night out.

By far the best show New Plymouth Operatic have put on. The standard keeps getting higher and higher. I would rate this twice as highly as Miss Saigon from last year. Highlights are Leo Bloom and Franz the german pigeon fancier. Brilliantly paced, just as close to perfect as you can get! Carmen Ghia was also as camp as a row of tents - just great!

I enjoyed this show very much. Haven't laughed so much in years and my handkerchief was wet with tears of laughter. Mark and Shaun were international professional standard in fact the whole show was .Have recommended to others. I liked the silent facial expressions by all the cast.
The colour, the costuming the quick set changes, the choral work, the music and the dancers were exceptional. Well done Op Society once again. A very sharp show.
The man sitting next to me, a stranger , had a good laugh and tears too. Hilarious.
The service from the time I ticketed to being shown to our seats by a pleasant smart
lady impressed us from the beginning to the end of the show.

& 42 nd was equally as Good. Well this Hilariously Funny show is; A MUSY SEE !!!

I have been to many NP Operatic shows, but this one took the cake. I would not be able to name any outstanding performance. They were all professional. I would definitely recommend people to see this show. I Loved IT.
