The Gorillaz' last show ever was absolutely brilliant. The whole band was there - a seven piece string section, a brass section, the Arabic music group featured in "White Flag" as well as Damon Albarn and the regulars (De La Soul and Little Dragon).

There were songs played from every album of theirs and everyone had amazing stage presence. They sounded great live, too, and the stage show was only improved with the animations playing on the screen behind them. The merchandise for sale was pretty reasonable as well and very cool.

My friend and I had a great time - definitely a worthwhile event to have gone to... It's too bad that it's their last show ever. Thanks for coming, Gorillaz!

Since this was my second concert (first one was when I was a bit younger) I guess I could say I had high hopes for the concert. After the opening acts finished (De La Soul were awesome!), I held my excitement for the thing me and everyone else were waiting for. The Gorillaz of course!

They exceeded my expectations with the visuals, sound and enthusiasm. Bootie Brown looked like he could do this all night, jumping up and down. When they started up, I realized that I could see the stage quite well and was pleasantly surprised.

De La Soul were great crowd movers, Damon Albarn gave the same effort into every song (especially the long awaited Feel Good Inc) and Bobby Womack with his amazing voice gave me chills with the beautiful 'Cloud of Unknowing.'

All the suppourting artists and etc helped greatly and overall, it was a great concert.

It's no wonder Gorillaz have never been on a world tour.

Getting the cartoon band - masterminded by Blur frontman Damon Albarn (who was at his dreamy, serenading, and highly-strung best) and comic creator Jamie Hewlett in 1998 - together with the many guest artists who feature on their albums poses one of live music's great logistical challenges.

In the past it's been too expensive, but it's all come together for the Escape To Plastic Beach Tour, with a cast of more than 35 singers and players.

And this is how the monster multi-media live music freak show plays out. The virtual band - singer 2D, the Gollum-like band leader Murdoc, guitarist Noodle, and hulking drummer Russel - are beamed on to the giant screen and act out Hewlett's intriguing and twisted stories.

Meanwhile, the live band, including Albarn as ringmaster, Paul Simonon and Mick Jones of the Clash, and a girl septet of strings conjure up the trippy, bouncy, and often eerie Gorillaz sound.

Then it's up to the cast of guests to do their thing, headed by mighty six-piece hip-hop brass band the Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, American hip-hop act De La Soul, and veteran soul man Bobby Womack.

Even Snoop Dogg shows up. Albeit larger than life up there on the giant video screen letting lose with his laid-back salvo on Welcome To the World of the Plastic Beach.

The two hour sets takes in almost all the new album Plastic Beach, as well as Gorillaz' brilliantly oddball pop hits, from the spooky and thrumming Tomorrow Comes Today and the cheeky melancholic lope of Clint Eastwood to the bass bop and clap along of Dirty Harry and the druggy haze holler of DARE.

There's a fitting Clash-inspired end to the main set with the sonic squelch and weirdness of Glitter Freeze giving way to the steely crash and bash of Punk (which is like the start of Career Opportunities or Clash City Rockers), which is followed by Plastic Beach, with Simonon and Jones to the fore.

This is the last show of Gorillaz' world tour, and with music as fun, dark, and irresistibly cheeky as this - and with visuals and performances to match - it's one of the concerts of 2010. It's also, declares Albarn a little sadly, the last Gorillaz show.

They will be missed because they are one of modern music's best, most innovative, and fun bands.

I've been to over 100 concerts in my life time. I don't recall ever sitting in a concert with my ears bleeding, just waiting for the concert to be over and to get the hell out of the arena. Eventually we sneaked out during the encores. It was just to painful to bear.

Plastic Beach is probably one of the most expensive albums ever made and with a Legend like Damon Albarn Ft De La Soul as well As Mos Def and few other artist which had 60 orchestra members in the making of the album you got to know that is amazing! Too bad was the last Goriallaz show and album ever I would have definitly wanted to see them again!! if you haven't heared the albums I suggest you get them as well as watch some of the Plastic Beach tour video's on youtube to really understand the music and what a great Concert it was Best moment for me at the concert was the amped feeling from listening to glitter freeze as well and rhinestone eyes.. Was truelly one of the best gigs ever been too.. Wish I got to meet Damon Albarn!

One of the best shows I have ever seen.
De la soul was a great warm up act, and the whole night was just magic.
Only bummer was the speakers in the roof block the screen from where I was sitting so lost a good quarter of the big screen which was important for a show like the gorrilaz

Gorillaz at the vector was wicked cool. Their songs sound even better live than on cd! De la soul and little dragon were really good, but gorillaz were unbelievable :)

Great venue.
Unfortunately Gorillaz only have about 3 hit songs.
The rest was far to Rap centric .... and eclectic.
Also OMG ... way to loud !
Ear drums were bleeding at the end - which could'nt come soon enough !.

Gorillaz, Bobby Womack and the other supporting acts were great. Staging was great. Seating was good. The sound was pretty poor - poor quality and very loud!!!! My husband had ringing in his ears 2 days after the event. It was so loud we couldn't hear the melodies or some of the supporting artists. At times Bobby Womack was moving his lips but nothing was coming out - sacrilege! Other supporting artisits got drowned in the noise, this wasn't the case for De La Soul needless to say. And what's with the feedback? Come-on Vector Arena, it was like being at a pub gig at times. Despite the sound issues it was a great concert.

Gorillaz - Plastic Beach was without shadow of a doubt the best concert we've ever been to and my husband and I have been to some huge acts over the years and this beats them all (even PInk Floyd and Michael Jackson!!). Little Dragon opened and are now on my "to buy" list for iTunes. Then De La Soul more than warmed the crowd up and showed they are still the undisputed masters of hip hop. By the time Gorillaz took the stage, the crowd were at fever pitch and were taken way way beyond during the set. There was an amazing cross section of people at this gig and in the few square metres around me alone there were children as young as 8 with their parents, teenagers, twenty somethings and baby boomers - all hugely enjoying themselves and singing along to nearly all the songs. The two hour set seemed to be over in minutes and with so much to watch from the incredible collaboration of musicians on the stage that had to be seen to be believed to the impressive lighting to the mindblowing animations that Gorillaz are famous for even the hardest person to please would have found it impossible not to be impressed. I came away from the show feeling like I'd had a religious experience and I don't know how any other gig I see in my lifetime will ever be able to measure up.

Gorillaz put on an amazing show, its a pity the sound sucked. The band were having a great night. The music was clearly awesome. The audience were into it. Its a pity it was unclear, muddy and harsh where we were sitting.
