Jimmy Barnes at Waihi Beach Hotel was just brilliant!!
Thoroughly enjoyed his concert, will see him live for as many shows I can. Hello Sailor opened- They were a little bit slow, and olden, but to be honest still enjoyable as an opening act, NOW.... Dragon!! They rocked the socks off the crowd!!! Totally amped them up, and played so well!! Loved them!!

There were so many different ages there- from 18-75+, was so cool to see so many young and old enjoying the music in one place! That's what music is about..!

Venue: We were under a big Marquee Tent- was huge! I quite liked it as you had plenty of room to move around, and it was quite nice and breezy, but not cold. Smokers should have been given a designated area as there were a number of people smoking in the crowds.... Yuck! More than anything they were inconsiderate! - But as for location- great!

Jimmy has the voice, and to think that being one of the last shows he did on this tour, his voice sounded awesome!!! - If you closed your eyes, it almost sounded like you were listening to one of his CDS.... FANTASTIC night!!! Will do it again for sure!!!

Dragon were exceptional, they had the place rocking enjoyed the whole night, great atmosphere, Generally a good concert. Location great, heaps of toilets. Drink selection not the greatest........ and when collecting tickets no-one knew when I could collect them.

Really great concert though.

Dragon were sooooo good. I could have listened to them all night. Please send Dragon back to Waihi Beach.
Jimmy.s 'Working Class Man' song always great and always wait with anticipation for this song at the end of the night. Jimmy never fails to entertain.
Hello Sailor were very good also and definitely worth listening to and going to see,

Hello Sailor opened strongly and did a great job of warming up the crowd.
Dragon raised the roof to another level. Its great to see old bands are still as great as ever. Very professional and played to the crowd really well.
Jimmy was in a class of his own. Absolutely amazing.
A great way to see in the new year.

Thoroughly enjoyed Dragon they were excellent but Jimmy
Barnes too loud, he screamed and a lot of people sat down, probably appealed to a younger audience with the screeching. Would like to have heard more of his old hits.

Was a great trip down memory lane, but Dragon was something else! so much energy! An Mark Williams - what an awesome entertainer!!! Made us proud to be Kiwi's!
Jimmy took a while to grow on us, the drums were competing with him too much so didn't get much of the lyrics unfortunately. He got a bit friendlier as time went on and then we started to enjoy him...
Thanks to Brewers Bar for jacking up the Marquee and covers for the crowd - it made for a good night all round really.

The sound quality of Jimmy Barnes was definitely below par. It was very disappointing and many people were leaving before Jimmy had finished. Dragon and Hello Sailor were excellent and thoroughly enjoyed them.

Hello Sailor was classic. They played to the audience with tracks everyone could identify with, the quality of the sound was great.

Dragon: I think there was only one member of the real Dragon band (could be wrong here) and so thought it misrepresented what we were going to see. Only played four Dragon tracks the other were new material to this current band. Very good interaction with the crowd! Overall we were happy with the music played.

Jimmy Barnes: We were very disappointed. Apart from one track, all the songs sounded the same and were sung with the same insane screaming voice that destroyed the song any hope of recognising the song. With the exception of the one song, none of what he sang reassembled his/their recorded stuff.

Of course, it could have just been that the sound production that night was crap!

Enjoyed all the acts. But Dragon was the best! They were awesome. Had the whole crowd singing. Jimmy Barnes was too loud as always.

It was a shame about the weather. Think the field would make a better venue if it was levelled off flat. Then they wouldn't get the lake in the middle. Realise that the rain was extreme.

The venue worked well and the age group it attracted was great. Jimmy barnes sucked but the other bands were good.

I have been to 5 of jimmys concerts and this one was the best i have seen he mixed it up really well and i will be going again if he is back next year,

Dragon were also out standing i will be going to see them again if i get the chance,

Hello Sailor and Dragon were at their excellent best. There were a couple of 21sts on and both these bands made it a great start for them. Jimmy is TH MAN!!!! fore ever!! I first saw him in 1977, and he's been my number one always, and I feel priviledged to have been there. He is just the party goodtimes man.

Artists were great. Slow ticket line for venue pick up,missed a lot of Hello Sailor, start times were vague, should be able to pick up tickets from venue earlier in the day. Otherwise really good even in the rain.

Really great night. Even better when the security guys opened the doors 1/2 hour prior to the time of opening the doors due to the horrible bad weather.
Really enjoyed it and good event, just shame it rained so much through the night, but we didn't get wet. Maybe next time if so much rain it would pay to put the big marquee right up flush next to the exterior wall of the bar and then it would run cover right the way through.
Was a bit painful to go get your tickets for drinks and then you had go to another stand and get your drinks.
