Robin seemed to be looking at the auto cue to follow the words all the time and the mixing of sound in several sounds was not good we couldn't hear any of the words.

I went to this because I love the Bee Gees and never got to see them, so thought this would be the closest I'll ever get to them - Robin was awesome when he sang the songs he sings i.e. I started a joke etc. but when he sang the songs his brother sings...well? hmmm, not so great, but he tried and he's a Bee Gee so it was okay (he said he'd bring his brother with him next time!)...still glad I went. I also went to this as much for the Pointer Sisters as Robin...they were just fabulous...was awesome to see some legends I grew up listening to.

I Love the Bee Gee's, so anything to do with them, weather it be Barry & Robin or just Robin. They are amazing, just wish I could meet them and sit and talk for awhile. Thankyou Vector arena

Robin was exceptionel with the songs he generally lead with the Bee Gees. Robin was also very good with the big hit songs from the 1980's. Overall, a very professional performance and also enjoyable.

i don't know if the sound system didn't suit robin but i thought his voice sounded flat. he didn't do an encore as well. being an avid bee gees fan i was quite disappointed with his concert.

The Pointer Sisters were awesome and should have been the main act (but needed a real band), not Robin Gibb. While his concert was enjoyable I would musically rate it as average. He certainly didn't have any stage presence and sang a few unknown songs that I'd never heard of. I feel that his blonde lead singer backed him up a lot and the concert was more enjoyable from a nostalgia perspective than from a quality perspective. He certainly can't sing high-pitched falsetto and was better at the mid-range songs. I went to the Carole King-James Taylor concert this year, which was stunning, and while different, this show wasn't in the same league. I still enjoyed it even though it wasn't a top notch performance.

I felt sorry for the guy, he is clearly not a solo performer. The best thing he didn't do is try to be the Bee Gees. The backing group was sorely lacking.

Robin Gibb unfortunately was very disappointing. His voice was weak although it got a little better in due course. He should have never tried to sing any of Barry Gibbs songs as his voice is just not up to it. When he sang his own songs it was okay. Overall he looked lost and not comfortable on stage.
The Pointer sisters were very good as an opening act. Amazing voices! Unfortunately the back up sound was very poor.

Yes,when Robin walked on stage it felt weird for all the BeeGees not to be there,but,the show was "Robin Gibb" and he was amazing and the back up singers were as well.WWe are pleased we saw him and would go again in a heartbeat!!!

Opening act(s): The Pointer Sisters - a sexy, classy act. Two original Sisters and now one of their grand-daughters joining the act. Excellent warm-up with lively, personalised chat with the audience and they really enjoyed being back in Auckland - last visit was 1992. @

Robin's performance appeared almost shy in comparison to his opening act. At times he was struggling for words to keep the audience entertained between songs. Therefore, he ended up belting out hit after hit - no complaints there! At times, his backing band were louder than his voice, which was a little irritating. Overall, it was great to be in the presence of even one of the Bee Gees and we certainly got value for money, given the number of songs he managed to perform during the concert.

The show was very enjoyable ,the pointer sisters were great Robin Gibb started a bit slow and his voice was croaky but he got better and we enjoyed the show and it was worth the 5hr drive to attend the show.
The most disapointing thing was the rip off prices charged for food and drink at the vector,
$5.00 for a cup of water that most likley came from a tap was shamefull.
overall 4stars for us.

He tried hard but it didn't quite come off. The music was good, but Robin unfortunately was not really up to it on his own. The songs he usually did as lead were much better than the ones that he usually did as harmony. Without the backing singers, it would have been poor. The crowd really "got into" and enjoyed the music but more because of the music than the performance.

Very disapointing. Too much junk on screen for back seat viewers and not enough of Robin. Needs the others to enhance him as Bee Gee singer. should try some of his own gear and get stage personality advise.
I am however a huge BEE GEES fan

The songs by the Bee Gees is only special when sung by all of the members of the band. Somehow we miss the falsato voice of Barry and although it was a nostalgic trip down memory lane, Robin is not as entertaining as the Bee Gees as a band.

Poor old Robin Gibb. Looked completely lost without his brothers and his lack of "front man" experience was clearly evident. Also the band and backing group were so loud we could hardly hear him most of the time. Disappointing. Thank heavens for the Pointer Sisters. Absolutely fab and made Robin look like an amateur. Also, substandard catering when the Arena ran out of orange juice which interestingly was cheaper than water!! . Did not serve coffee (despite the average age of the attendees being aroung 50)Vector arena need to study their target market when organising the catering.

Robin had no stage presence and if you closed your eyes and listened it could have been anyone singing. Granted a talented song writer but solo artist he isn't.

Fantastic Show, boogied the night away, a shame more didn't join in, as us that did had a ball!
Pointer Sisters started the show which was Awesome and set the tone, to be followed by the "Robin Gibb" which reminded us all of the Ole tunes from years ago!!
Thoroughly enjoyed and would go again!

We enjoyed the show. And realised we were not going to here the 'Bee Gees' sound, as there is only one singing.!! The sound system at times was not balanced for me, I found there to be too much base, and this drowned out the voices of the singers.
