I saw Doug two years ago at the Australian accoustic music festival and attended also a workshop he performed there. Doug learned blues from a Delta bluesman of the south in USA and taught me the fingerpicking style that few even try these days let along master. Doug communicates in a rare way with all audiences through his voice and guitar and also with the story's he tells. Although this is not a review of the concert in Rotorua (he hasnt performed there yet) I am sure to reccommend this one for all to attend. I applaud the Rotorua blues club for getting this truely international giant of a performer to be here in New Zealand.
