As an 'old girl', I've been to quite a few concerts in my time but must say this is one of the best for it's 'get up and go' effect. i took two girls (one a teen and one a tweenie). Both sqealed (how the heck do you spell that?) and boogeyed their night away. The odd 'shush' from the old girl (me) had little effect.
What I love about BEP is that (nearly) all of their songs are danceable (is that a word?) Despite being in the cheap seats (this time) the big screens helped us to get a reasonable view of the band and the sound wasn't too bad. Was a bit worried about the stage lights and their effect on those with a tendency to epilepsy - was that mentioned anywhere? (Sorry, a bit personal, but when you know someone with this problem, you are quite conscious of it - picky, i know).
The only reason I (although, I am sure the kids would've) didn't give them a 5/5 is that I went to the concert in Melbourne on the Wednesday, the week before this concert. It was amazing. There was a 'runway' stage and Will-i-am (sorry if i didn't spell that right, bro), well his DJ booth did an hydraulic thing and rose up, making the whole 'dance' effect much more believable. not sure whether being with adult company, having a few drinks and being in the standing area (not too packed in melbourne) made a difference, but felt that the dj mix had more flow than at the show in Auckland. Sexual references were also not noticed at melbourne, but again may have been coz of the different company at the two concerts. Was more conscious of this with young girls with me. (Not cool, Will).
overall, BEP one of the best I've seen in a LONG WHILE
