The opening act Jakob were superbe, a great choice as far as I'm concerned.
Tool opened after a slight intermission and were awsome, my first concert at Vector as well as being my first Tool concert, so was great in many aspects.
Before going to Auckland I was in contact with both Vector arena and Frontier touring co, both companies were great to deal with replying to all my questions and emails as they were able to.
The greatest dissapointment was the constant use of security people having to remind people NOT to use their cellphones. Personally I did'nt bring mine, I respected the information given to me both via email and posters at the venue, To respect the band and NOT use it, its a great shame that others are incapable of being able to read the advice given to them, as in incapable to reading, Auckland must be ful of under educated people, shame as my concert event cost me enough, esp coming up from Invercargill.
As far as I'm concerned cellphones should be a full blanket ban, caught with one, one should be removed, NO questions. That would make it more enjoyable for us whom wich to attend and listen to the band, and not having to endure the constant torch waving of the security people.
Be aware thou, you are on the end seat, expect to have beer & other liquids etc spilt on you from young people with no regards to anyone but themselves. Also expect to have your limbs moved by drunk idiots whom have no idea on how stairs are meant to be used correctly, closey related to the phone users..
