I do love this band. Seen them 3 times now and they are such a great show!.
The kings arms is a great venue and their music works really well there.
Seeing them on the5th in Matakana too.

I went along to King Cannons only knowing a few of their singles. I find that usually when I go to concerts (even big, international bands) and I don't know enough of their music, the overall gig is disappointing. But these guys were great. The sound quality was actually amazing, and the variety in style of music King Cannons presented was awesome. Old school rock n' roll that made you want to get up and dance one minute, something a little heavier the next. The were absolutely fantastic live and I will definitely be buying their album.

The Venue of The Powerstation is a great place to hold a Rock Concert with excellant acoustics. When the King Cannons came on they really lifted the crowd. Thier stage presence was great and really connected with the crowd right through. To top off the band came and mingled with the crowd at the bar after and were really approachable. Highly reccomended for the whole experiance from venue to band. Left with a huge smile.

It was over a year ago, that I first discovered King Cannons and was immediately hooked on their music. Saturday night, I finally got to see them play and let me tell, you what, they did not disappoint!
This lot know how to get a crowd going and were just the incredibly fun to dance to. King Cannons have such positive upbringing vibes to their music. I doubt there was anyone in that crowd who didn't have a blast. It seemed there were a couple of technical difficulties during the show, but that didn't put a stop them from bringing it.
King Cannons are just about all my favourite music wrapped into one group, plus more. The covers they chose do play, were perfection. I was handed a set-list, which was awesome, because the crowd clapped me on the shoulder and congratulated me and the band later signed it for me.
Got to meet the band too and hang out with them after the show. On top of their incredible talent, they're also really nice. I'm never going to forget that show and I hope they come back and play soon.

King Cannons were superb as I knew they would be - great stage presence and great sound.
The Transistors were OK. - typical thrashy punk band . Great sound but all the songs sounded the same.
The venue was pretty ordinary. The venue was listed simply as Christchurch Polytech so we didn't exactly know where we were going. Fortunately it wasn't too hard to find. The venue was small with no seats and the odd drunken idiot crashing about. Then again this is post quake Christchurch so beggars can't be choosers. Concert was pretty cheap at under $30. I would have preferred to pay a bit more and got to sit down. An all ages gig that we could take our kids to also would have been nice.
I sure the next time the King Cannon come to town they will be in a bigger, better venue.

Great rock band, deserve to go far. Very tight musically, and great stage presence. Not sure where the Specials comparison comes from, but definetely channels the bastard off-spring of the Clash and the E-street band, albeit no Clarence.

As I have said the King Cannons were bloody amazing, the way they played to the crowd was sheer brilliance. Played all their hits and more. Thanks guys I will see you at your next concert. Also just what Christchurch needed.

Total old school Rock n Roll.
Where we were standing was a perfect perch and rocked out to the songs from above, was definately a toe tapping set the whole way through.
The sound was great from up there, we could see the crowd pushing and shoving below, glad we werent in there.
Rob rocked out, even standing on the rail/barrier, Jonno was having a ball, Lanae and Dan were amazing - unfortunately I couldnt see Mikey from where we were standing, I really wanted to see the harmonica, haha
The song choices were awesome, and definately reminded me of Springsteen, champs.
The whole band had so much energy on stage and looked like they were having a great time and fed off each other.
