Carmen as an outdoor experience of opera was great. Being outside gave a different feel to the whole experience. The staging was magnificent and the performers were excellent. A memorable experience.

Amazing . Worth the trip from NZ .Opera staging was magnificent. Departing cruise ships added to the setting No time left to eat dessert @ platinum dinner. We were seated by 5.30 . Late arrivals for dinner upset staff rhythm . Will probably back again next year.

Favourite moment: Love it all, and the costums were fab, especailly Vioetta's Red Dress in the beginning. @

La Triviata was absolutely spectacular, with very polished ,professional, and beautiful performances from all cast. Congatulations also to the Orchestra and Conductor. Excellent sound. The effects were amazing and the chandy was amazing, and also the fireworks. The best thing was the singing and with the stage and audience being outside I think the performers found it really enjoyable to take their rolls. Emma Matthews as Violetta, what a huge part which she sung as strong in the beginning ,right to the end. Such a powerful voice! I cried just about all the way thru.Gianluca Terranova was just a delight to listen to as well, with a very beautiful voice. I loved ot all it.
The only down fall was having to line up for so long for a coffee, and also to use the toilet facilities. (Never got the coffee) The atmostphere was wonderful. I would recommend this Opera and performance very highly. The Floating stage on the waterfront WOW ! !

La Traviata on Sydney harbour was a night our party will always remember. Set against the magnificent Sydneyscape of city buildings, Botanical Gardens, Opera House and the Bridge the opera was brilliantly staged. The orchestra was wonderful and the voices of the leads were powerful, the acoustics excellent. Then, as if on queue a giant passenger liner sailed out from under the Bridge. FABULOUS evening, unbelievable undertaking.

Weather looked dodgy before performance. Lucky only two light showers came which had no effect on the night. Amazing performance from Emma Matthews and beautiful setting. My partner and I were first time Opera goers and were not disappointed. Overall experience was nice.

I had flown over from NZ to see La Traviata with a group of friends . The performance was incedible .The evening was perfect weather wise and we had great seats. From the opening note to the end we were spellbound with the setting ,singing and the 'extras" being the fireworks,and interval entertainment. I hope there will be another Opera on the harbour.

Soloists and chorus, costumes, musicians, make a brilliant combination. Involving the audience (fireworks, the watertaxis in Act Two, the mingling senoritas) add to the fun and enjoyment.
