There were so many instruments used this night. A delight for muso's. Alaska, the opening act, think I have seen them before, had a real harp, BEAUTIFUL, and cello and a violin and a mouth-blown little keyboard and more!
An intermezzo that included some young family talent as well, not sure who they were.
New Zealand music, you are REAL music and delightful and LOVELY.Avalanche City was musical and strong and gentle, it had a lovely athmosphere with the lampshades and fairy lights and tubes and the music and all the people there.
There were so many instruments used this night. Now I saw where the sounds were coming from: a real mandolin, a ukelele (Go the ukelele's :) Great guitar play.
The sound was good all night long.

I was able to catch Avalanche City live at their Wellington gig and I am stoked that I went. They put on an awesome live show and I can't wait till they tour again.

Avalanche City are going to go far. Was surprised by the excellent acoustics in the Feilding Concert Chamber. Luke Thompson was a brilliant support act. Pity we couldn't buy any grog, but hey it was Sunday night.

Gentle and moving music, then you get swinging and jingling music. It is a night out for your senses. The lightning just the icing on the cake. Twinkling blue lights reflecting the mood of the songs, with vintage lamps, giving that taste of folk music Avalanche City does so well. With a bit of humour in the mix, it was a light atmosphere. With the treat of meeting them afterwards. The luck of a small town.

Awesome gig. Really liked the support singer (Luc Thompson) and extra brownie points for waiting for the All Blacks match to finish!! Very impresssed with their music live and the make-up of the set list.

It started off with Luke Thompson who was awesome to listen to - great musician, great lyrics and very natural and relaxed.
I was mesmerised by Avalanche City - their talent was on display with multiple instruments and beautiful voices. Look forward to seeing them again.
Now that's why I call a great night out at the pub!

Pity about the sound system - for a small venue I felt like it could've been a tad louder - not complaining - just felt I couldn't here the singer at times - I think they're a unique and gifted band.

well we arrived early to the veniew and was great but the seating was cold but we coped . the lead act was a promicing your singer too look for too moor music from him . and the band avalanch city was absolutly bloody great would go again any time too see them .
