Too slow and boring. Probably as too much Blues and not enough jazzy jazz! Somewhat disappointed :(

Alan Broadbent is a legend pianist. Rodger Fox's band was great as usual, and the special guests were fabulous. A really great evening.

The first half of the concert was first class - with the American lady singer. Second half of concert was less motivating. Wonderful variations between the brass and the piano and bass; but too many of the bands numbers were slow dirges, with too much noise from the three main types of brass instruments - except for the last piece, which was indeed very well arranged, very crisp and with great variations between the brass instruments.

Excellent programme, some criticism of the sound quality in places, but overall very good and enjoyable evening.
