Great event, so worthwhile. Band played for ages and seemed like they would have kept going all night. Incredible energy for their age.
pity the drummer didn't have any lights on him as he did most of the vocals.

My very first visit to The Powerstation and i was impressed by the quality of the venue, good facilities, nice crew, great atmosphere and fantastic acoustics.
Then along came The Lil' Band Of Gold ( who i really didn't know too much about ) but wanted to see some real American Swamp music players and i wasn't disappointed. I didn't know the songs but was rocking to most tunes they belted out, Very Very impressed with the drummer and his amazing voice, and he is only a young guy of 75 years. The lead guitarist led the band through their long set and held it altogether with great interaction with the other players especially the saxophonist, accordian player, and drummer. Although he couldn't always be heard he played a mean guitar when required. Great voices, great music, great venue, overall a really great night ( for me anyway)

Really dissapointing show. Was expecting the brilliance of the Kings Arms performance with great Cajun swamp music. Got Bill Haley and the Louisiana Rock'n'Roll crew instead. Went home.

First time I saw Charles Adcock and Steve Riley it was 1996 and they were HOT. They are still good ol ' Lousiana boys, albeit a bit heavier and greyer. Not as grey as Warren Storm if he didnt dye his hair boot polish black. Storm's drumming and singing were astonishing for a man half his age. Likewise Dickie Landry's sax. Wow !
There's nothing like seeing a band on the last night of theiir tour. 2 1/2 hours of full on vintage LBOG. They played a lot of tracks from the new album, an homage to Fats Domino, which makes it a must-buy.
The crowd wasnt huge, but noisily enthusiastic. Come back boys, we need to see and hear more of you
