We loved it, it was interactive and made instruments fun
My 2 1/2 son loved his straw batton you recieve on arrival to help conduct the orchestra so straight away he was into it. The songs are fantastic and very commen, so everyone can sing along. At the end my son get to walk through the orchestra with my husband and just LOVED it, he was already into music and instruments but this was just the thing to really connect him with the instruments and sounds on a whole different level!
I highly recommend this concert for all littlies who have a fondess for instruments and music alike!

My 4yr old grand daughter was spell bound! From the moment he appeared searching for Teddy, the front man was entertaining and kept the children interested in following the music, choice of music was just right for the mostly young audience -a great show for young and old!

Lots of fun and wonderful for the children to get involved. Getting a sticker on the way in was great. We missed out on the straws, not sure where they were? It would have been great if it was louder, even though we were right in the middle with the noise of all the children it was difficult to hear and if louder would have held their attention more. The host was funny and relaxed.

This started off well with good audience participation, but we felt the choice of music let it down. Some of it was quite depressing! This was a very young audience, and asking them to be quiet while instruments were being played was never going to happen. Why not have used the instruments in a loud and dramatic way - and by the way, where were the drums and percussion?? Our grandson was so looking forward to the drums and a drum roll would have been amazing, but there was nothing happening with the percussion. More audience participation would have been good - the kids were all ready to sing and dance, and while there was some to start with it very quickly petered out. We thought the main actor was fantastic and the kids all seemed to really enjoy him. He worked hard to keep the kids involved, but the choice of music let him down.
And...starting at 10.15 and finishing at 10.40 is not an hour!

I went with my 4 year old daughter and friends and we all loved the show. The band was great and the host very entertaining. Will definitely go again.

AS an adult, I thought the APO did a great job with the concert. I took 2x2yearolds. One was enthralled with the pink teddy and wondered where she was and what she was going to do next.. The other stood up on his seat a couple of songs before the end and announced it was time to go home. However, he could tell me about all the songs and what instuments he had heard. Perhaps two years old is a little early, but I will bring them again next year.

Our nearly 3 year old grandson was not in the least bit restless.He enjoyed the teddy bear, the audience participation and being introduced to some of the instruments. He particularly loved walking through the orchestra whilst they were playing.
My daughter-in-law and I both thought that the actual music being played may have been a bit tame, especially with lots of movement and chatter within the auditorium. Perhaps a slight 'build up' next time.

I am wholeheartedly in favor of introducing a splendid orchestra to children. Unfortunately for my 10, 8, 6 year olds, this was aimed at the well below 5 market. Fair enough, but there is also a market for the older children, with more mature commentary and more to learn about instruments and the orchestra as a whole. I would encourage the APO to put on such a thing and advertise it as such. Otherwise, they listen to a diet of similar American songsters, and begin to sound like them! :-)

I took my two-year-old grandson and he never left my lap. He was rivetted the whole time - we sat in the front seat, which did not have a full view of all the orchestra but was close enough for him to become involved with the performers. The wee ballerina was such a hit! Kevin, who fronted the performance was just great, getting the kids involved and dressing as their favourite characters, nice voice. The pace was well suited to little ones - perhaps some "Peter and the Wolf" next time? My grandson was introduced to the orchestra with this. Well done APO - perhaps some more solos next time with the dramatic instruments? - drums! trumpets? My wee grandson went home miming violins and wind instruments to his family. A great show!

Our 3 kids are 12, 10, & 8 (2 boys and a girl) and, while the songs were aimed for a younger audience, they all had a blast. They were interested and involved and learnt more about how an orchestra is set up.
There were lots of opportunities to join in, and we loved the walk-through at the end, as well as the instrument stickers we each got.

Excellent!!
A good introduction to orchestral music & instruments. It was educational and the music pieces were well organised to fit in with the programme. Great for the kids!! And well priced.

Such a fun event, my daughter was totally captivated. It was very interactive with sing-a-longs and getting to walk through the orchestra on stage at the end. My daughter got to play the xylophone and the chello. The show is narrated by a very engaging guy - I found it entertaining and informative. Some beautiful classical music and some kiddy's favourites, it was a great mix. Also thoroughly enjoyable for the adults :o)

This show is very nice. My kids love it so much. Also I've recommended this show to my friends who also had enjoyed the time with family. Due to this they would like to follow our family to attend to any similar activities in the furture. I'm so proud of it. Hope APO will give us more of it in the furture.

Fabulous concert for kids. Would highly recommend to all parents. Very entertaining for kids and adults. My 2.5 year old loved conducting the orhestra and the walk thru afterwards was a huge hit!

My only thought on how this could be improved is if the APO were on risers as they go back into the stage. This would mean that the trumpets, flutes, clarinets etc could be more visible to little kids sitting in the stalls. Loved the coloured t-shirts though!

Can't wait to bring my daughter as well next year! Many thanks!!
