Drivers & cars absolutely awesome but very hot day and ZERO ability to get out of the sun which meant needed to leave earlier than i would have liked to escape the sun. Mt Smart stadium was not the best venue for this event but cant fault the teams they put on the best drifts and burnouts for us all. Ears are still ringing and I'm still choking on the burning rubber....bliss

I was disappointed on arriving on Friday afternoon to find that the event had finish early. It had only been open to the public for 4hrs before we turned up to be refused entry, However Saturday was will worth attending. Great crowd, great atmosphere, great presenters, a few techincal problems. But an overall great experience and day. Would highly recommend everyone go to at least one of these events.

Good to see some lees known hit thetop ones off there perch great display of driving good on the PRO AMS terriffis driving display as well go well.

Great fun for all at MT Smart yesterday , kids (9+20mth) loved it and so did we. Hot day.....slush puupies, icecream and most of all great drifting and great cars....Wish the track was bigger to allow more cars on. defo going again made our weekend 1st time as well.

These events are always so great and so well run and i highly recommend to anyone who loves Drifting, if your not sure what it is.. Im sure you will love it if you do go!
VIP is the best way to go! You get 3 Complimentary Drinks in the closed VIP area and a catered Lunch.. Its also a sheltered area and a great way to meet other enthusiasts and watch the event in Style!
I always have such a great time!
In response to a review below, i noticed some people had decided to sneak their way up to VIP in Taupo obviously feeling like they were missing out and completely enilated the Food table and then snuck out again.. Really disappointing to see people would do that but totally not the fault of the event organisers at all if you ask me!
No doubt if there is anything the organisers can do to prevent this from happening again it will be done!
100% recommend the event and 100% recommend VIP tickets!

We had one of the best weekends away at a car event yet! The whole event was organised and run exceptionally well.
The VIP area was set up really well, bar, food , viewing area was well worth buying the VIP ticket for.
There wasn’t a time during the drifting that we were bored , we were at the edge of our seats for most of the event!!
We will definitely be attending more D1NZ events!

It wasn't too bad apart from first getting there and not being informed where the VIP section was and even asking workers at the even and they didn't even know, paying $50 which stated you would get some sort of goody bag but no..The wipeout on Saturday was good apart from the car hitting a media guy but at least he wasn't seriously injured other than that yeah just another day

I have been attending the D1NZ drift series as a spectator for over 3 seasons now. Round 3 in the Mt Smart Stadium was awesome except for the weather! the track was tight and viewing was good from a safe distance with concrete barriers everywhere I can only imagine the planning necessary in setting something like this up . The crew are tight and drifting in NZ is becoming a great spectacle to watch. Gaz whiter seems to be untouchable at the top of the championship for the 3rd time in a row. The next round at Taupo is going to be interesting being a reverse track and should be extremely fast!. Looking forward to it! If you are reading this you are obviously interested get down to the track and check it out its a great day out and full of paint scraping and tyre smoke!.

im a drifting fan so easy for me to get the most out of it but i reckon it flowed well over the two days, the open pits was an awesome experience to get up and close with the drivers and feel like your part of the scene. could have been a bit more info on the afterparty, more information on access to the stands and maybe a customer service stand. all in all run very well!
