First time I've been to a Ballet.
The scenery and effects were great,
The costumes were beautiful and the colours striking.
The dancing, excellent.
It was a wonderful experience and great to see we have such a tallented and experienced bunch of people who show they really are dedicated to such a high performance production.
You should be proud!

Found the performance of Sleeping Beauty by the Royal NZ ballet company to be just amazing, right through from the costumes, set design to the choreography and dances/dancers themselves. Had the most fantastic time, would definitely go again, and again.

Despite having just taken them all to the Russian Ballet, taking my daughters and friends to this Ballet was the highlight of our term. Just the most beautiful show to watch and, if the technicians weren't impressed, we certainly were!
The music was perfect, the characters were well played, there was heaps going on to entertain and capture the imagination of the age range with us - and the set was fantastic ... used skillfully and cleverly in the dance - we were so impressed.

The characters played were outstanding, ballet was beautiful, costumes were breathtaking and the whole cast worked well together to deliver an eye opening performance from beginning to end....the music was soothing to the soul - the addition of the playful pieces of the cats topped the show off and for a 1st viewing of a professional ballet company it was something I shall never forget....I am now sold on watching such professional displays forever!

Congratulations to Greg Horsman as the choreography was fantastic. To see the devotion and passion each artist has for their craft, shone throughout the performance. It is much appreciated that shows of this calibre reach small areas such as Rotorua. As Ethan Stiefel said when introducing "The Sleeping Beauty"...Enjoy! We certainly did...A five star rating, and I look forward to more exhilirating performances from the RNZB.
