I absolutely adored the whole performance from start to finish. The enunciation of the Singers was perfect and the costumes and staging was really great. I could see it again except that I live in NZ. I had seen the movie many years ago and knew it was sad and it was but that wasn't a problem at all. I was expecting to hear Lara's theme at some stage during the show, even at the very last moment!

Thoroughly enjoyed the musical Doctor Zhivago. We are both in our 70's and I enjoyed it better than my husband. Thought Anthony Warlow had a lovely voice,very strong and he was a superb Zhivago.
Only regret they didn't use that lovely piece of music 'Laura's Theme.' They used some of the beautiful pictures that made the film so memorable, so why not the Theme?

We were looking forward to how this story, with which we were both familiar, could be adapted to the confines of the stage.
The answer is "magnificently".
The music was competently crafted to the story and performed beautifully. While there was none of the music that was immediately recognisable, I am sure that it would grow on you with repeat listening.
All in all a very competent production.

Before attending was not sure if I would enjoy. Loved it from the first moment. Anthony Warhol was excellent as the doctor and the female leads also had beautiful voices and played their roles well. Scenery and costume suited the miserable weather and times in WWI/ Revolution times in Russia. Have highly recommended to my friends

The energy of this production is breathtaking. Anthony Warlow left me feeling exhausted. the energy and the passion he portrayed. The whole cast was superb. Would see it again instantly The live orchestra contributed to its success. the singing was second to none. Looking forward to the CD release.

I really enjoyed the show despite Anthony Warlow being unable to take the lead. His understudy did a very good job. My friends and I all enjoyed it and are wanting to see it again. I will have to wait until it comes to New Zealand to see it again. The songs are all new so will have to hear them a few times before I can remember them.
