I was super excited to see these guys- I've been to tons of their gigs in the past- and absolutely loved their energy, musicality and how easy they are to dance to! But they seemed kind of tired at the powerstation, and I didn't feel like they were connecting with the audience at all. This may have something to do with the venue- usually I've seen them in smaller, more intimate venues, but then I've seen them playing at an open air concert at 2pm in the afternoon and they totally rocked it then! Soo, maybe not.
One thing that really put me off was all the wierd movies of top-less woman and nipples with tape over them and cartoon porn- I could kinda see what they were getting at maybe, with the 'arty' stuff, but I found it way too distracting! And actually pretty sleazy.
But I still have faith! I still love the music, and I'm certain that they can still do an amazing live show- so I'm definitely not writing them off yet.
