Obviously the Chinese dancers are professional dancers, from head to toe they had serious dance trainings and solid groundings. I am afriad to say because of the baggage of the Chinese long history, they tried to combine too many ideas into their choreography; therefore the whole dance turned into a huge 'mix', sacrifice the originality. In comparision, the Unitech's choreography was powerful and meaningful- totally has the essence of what contemporary dance is all about. Strically speaking, the dancers wern't 'dancers' though. The way they moved or even walked on stage was no difference to anyone on the street- you can just tell their muscles wern't trained at all! So what is a dancer? What makes a dancer? One can argue that anyone can dance but???? (What makes an artist then? Who's painting worth more? Yours or mine?- The PROFESSIONALS!!!!)
