Fantastic concert. The crowd was singing to all his oldies, it sounded wonderful. Even his new music was real good.
He didn't do Lady D'Arbanville, I suppose it's a case of sooo many songs, sooo little time.

Yusuf was the best concert we have attended at the Vector Centre ever. The music, the rapport from a great entertainer and the atmosphere he created was unbelievable. Top Class!!

Yusuf still retained his great voice at 62 years of age and had a natural empathy with the audience. His son's band was a dramatic contrast to Dads music style but great that he could give them this musical opportunity.

We were totally blown away! What an amazing man - not only is his voice wonderful and still so strong for a 62 year old, he had great stage presance and is doing amazing things for charity - what an inspiration!
We didn't want the show to end, and when it did I wanted to see it all over again.
We feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to see him live.

Great singer and music but disappointed that he played more new material than his old ones. I think most people went to hear his older songs but he seemed more intent on playing his new ones.

What a great evening. Great mix of old and new songs, with a well orchestrated story.
But why can't young people sit for 2 hours to maximise enjoyment of an event!!

Waiting 30 years to see him was well worth it.

Cat Stevens, as we knew him all those years ago, still had a great voice. His new songs were good and no doubt will in time will become a lot more familiar but was really hanging out for the old well known toe tapping numbers we could sing a long to. The stage setting, backdrops, lighting was fabulous. His back up band and vocalist were excellent also. Really enjoyed the old numbers when the audience really came alongside and sang with him. He appeared to be enjoying himself and had a great sense of calmness about him.

Yusuf had a gentle lead in. The concert was a mixture of his 'Cat Stevens' classics and his Yusuf arrangements, all of which were great listening. The voice quality was superb for a man who was keen to tell us that he was 62 years old. The gentle banter throughout the show made it personalised. Great story line that tied in certain songs. Fantastic night, an oldie but a goodie.

I was pleasantly surprised as my husband is the one who wanted to go to his show.
As he commenced his performance I remembered alot of his songs, ie Moon shadow, The olde school yard, Morning has broken, Wild world. He voice does not seemed to have changed significately, he still sounds pretty much the same as in the seventies.
It was a shame he did not play the famous song about the father not having spend time with his son while growing up so then the son of course grows up and has no time for his father .

The Yusuf part was fantastic! Unfortunately the before bit was not so good. Yusuf's son and his group played which was just ok. The in between change over bit was a big disaster!! We actually considerred leaving before Yusuf started as did others we were sitting near. It was very unprofessional and took far too long. People started banging their feet and shouting to make their feelings known.

Similar to NZ Herald website review. Great music...... more interested in the oldies not the newy's. The musical and dialogue wasn't my thing but the background info did help appreciate the original of the songs. Voice still great!!!

His son's band opening wasn't expected or needed or the late start. Very many later comers that were disruptive and maybe this needs to be addressed ie no late arrivals after a 10 minute window. Unfair for those that did make it on time and were ready to go.
