The performers were fantastic, two stages worked really well, organisation was second to none, enjoyed every moment - would so love to buy the DVD if they recorded the Auckland Concert... What a line-up and the All Blacks showing up.. The Icing on the Cake.. Guests like John Campbell and all others really added that little bit extra.. All in all THE BEST!! Well Done Guys for putting on such a fantastic event and so glad my friend and I were able to be a part of such a fantastic event..

FIrst of all - Thanx for helping our families back home - an amazing concert. It was a lifetime experience for my nephew and dorta who's 9 and 11 - their first live music concert. The whole concert was unforgettable. The only thing I hated was buying food from the bistro outdoors and thought I could take it in, but no - had to throw it in the rubbish - come on now, thats a $20 waste - why operate a bistro and name it arena bistro and yet was told it wasnot part of vector arena????????

The "I love the Islands" concert at Vector arena was good. Though the concert was a bit long, probably went on for at least 45 minutes too long. It was good to see many Pacific Island artists, I think the popularity was definitely with the more famous Kiwi artists like Dave Dobbyn, Bic Runga, the Finn brothers. It went on too long with artists doing 3-4 acts, when they weren't as famous and made it a little boring. It was so good to have given to a worthy cause, though Vector could have given money from all their food and drinks sold, like what Tip Top did. They gave all ice cream profits to the Tsunami.

What a wonderful night of Kiwi entertainment! We went as a whole family - two adults, three children, 9, 7, and 3 years, it was awesome!!!
Thanks so much to all the bands, backstage, MCs, security - everyone volunteered their talents and time to produce a top notch show.
Probably not the best for a 3 year old - although she did cope, but it was a bit loud and a bit late for her.

Such professionalism by all the entertainers involved is a tribute to them all as they performed to the highest degree imaginable. That they performed willingly as a contribution towards fundraising for Samoa and for free, is a testament to who and what they are. An amazing feat by the organisers, venue and staff who all pulled together to give the sell out performance to the public a night to remember. History was made and we were fortunate to be part of it. Highly recommend to all ages a most enjoyable evening with performances from musicians of various genres. From the young 11 year old to the young 53 year old in our party, a great time was had by all.

Never been a fan of that pathetic excuse of "island time" but despite the late start Dave Dobbyn was the perfect start to an unforgettable evening where NZ's finest shared their alofa for Samoa. Nice work on the stage changes considering the logistical challenges with different artists and range of genres (which might also explain a few interesting programming choices) and how amazing to have this range and callibre of Kiwi artists all in the same place!
Oscar & Teuila did a great job to keep things moving though a little less from the AB's would have been fine...they're nice guys & our nation worships the AB's but 2 of them speaking would have been plenty....overall the MC's were sharp & lively -niiice :)
The sound at Vector is world-class so it was a pity that its capacity was pushed so much that artists such as King Kapisi (who is an amazing composer & collaborator of style & lyrics) were so loud that their art was distorted...I love my bass (I'm an island girl of course) but not when the bass takes over so that the rest of the music can't be appreciated.
It was an amazing experience to be a part of and thank you to all those who gave up their time and resources (Vector, Strategic Security, production team....you rock!)...fa'afetai, fa'afetai, fa'afetai lava.

What an amazing line up of artists! And what an extraordinarily generous gift to give. The fact that all these people have come together to perform without taking a cent of payment for their time and effort, simply to help others in need. Man we live in a great country not only enriched with some of the most talented musicians in the world but also the people of Aotearoa who support local music and artists and give also generously to those who need it when times as they are, are hard enough for every one. I feel so proud to have been in my own small way by way of attendance to have part such an awesome history making event! Thank you all so much to those people on and back stage who made it happen. Well worth traveling from Tauranga for!

Savage and Scribe truly out did themselves with organizing that amazing, best every concert I have ever been to in the Vectra Arena. My whanau and I loved every minute of it, and it waz truly amazing how it filtered through to all age differences, it was impossible not to find something that you absolutly loved and enjoyed. So honored to be part of it, and all so bless Samoa te tangata. Kia Ora team, we'll remember it for always xox you are the best.
