Wow, I have been to thousands of concerts over the years and this one would have to make it on to my favourites list. The rich sound created by eight people on stage was fantastic. loved every minute.

What an awesome night!! Katchafire and The Black Seeds rocked the people of Northland and beyond! Mangawhai is an awesome spot, the beaches, the people, what more could you want?! The only gripes I would have is the lack of toilet paper and the poor eftpos facilities. Luckily the venue is an outdoor affair which more than makes up for it all. Well done guys

Two great sets from two of NZ's best ever reggae bands. Awesome musicianship from both bands, Vocals were tight and spilled out very good live renditions of our favourite chart hits and more.
Venue was fine. Only draw back was the amount of young people who couldn't handle their alcohol (but that's not new), who barged, smashed and spilled through our group. Apart from this it was a great night.

Superb concert, as much for a great venue and crowd as choice bands! Black Seeds were brilliant but I think Katchafire might have been a better headline choice!

Fantasticlly professional show black seeds are such a tight unit unbelievable percussionist and drummer, new with old releases superb loved the mixing with katchafire.
Katchafire are also a very professional seasoned outfit love the amazing sound great mixing with black seeds, always a pleasure to listen to old and new releases the crowd just multiplied mustve been due to the cuzzy factor, awesome venue Simply the Best Summer Sounds around tumeke!

Both bands were spell binding, their music rocked the night!!! Sounds system and special effects was brilliant.

Black seeds were of course on form, with seamless flow between their more rockier tunes to the pure ska.nk. First time seeing katchafire for me and they were genuinely very good, Waihi beach hotel such a a great venue, with the open sided marquee allowing many drinks from the improvised bars and a cheeky smoke here and there. Overall magic gig, so much value for 47 dollars.

The concert was great alltogether. The venue and sound (waihi beach hotel) were really a good choice, the atmosphere of the people who attended the concert was also fantastic! Really pleased with the performances, the boys from both katchafire and black seeds put all their hearts into a beautiful concert that connected everyone in the crowd together.

My friend also though Katchafire were great, but I'm not a huge fan myself. The new stuff from Black Seeds sounded great, they are certainly a polished act these days (perhaps a bit more jamming things out wouldn't go amiss?).

mixed age crowd, very chilled out and everyone rocking. Katchafire such legends just the sounds to get the summer kicked off. And Black Seeds talent very cool. how lucky we are to have this combo in our wee towns just for us.
