Thoroughly enjoyable. This show appealed to all age groups not just children. I must admit I had a wee tear in my eye at the end of the show. Mary Poppins was amazing and the staging, and other singers and dancers were very good. Well worth seeing.

A slick, brilliantly staged funfilled show entertaining for all ages - children to 90! Staging exciting, costuming lovely, cast superb especially the lead guy - a talent if ever there was one. Thoroughly enjoyed the evening and well worth the trip across the Tasman! I took my 22 year old son and we both loved it. The family next to us with children 7 - 10 were cheering excitedly.

We thoroughly enjoyed this fabulous musical. We noticed even very young children were entranced by the characters and the fantastic set movements.

An absolutely superb cast performing a wonderful story in an enchanting theatre. The sets, costumes, dancing and singing were without a doubt the best I have ever seen in a live musical show. My cheeks were sore from smiling the whole way through.Just perfect!

My neice did well in her exams in NZ and I shouted her, her first trip overseas to Sydney. We had a week of sightseeing, shopping and general relaxation and exploring. The weeks activities included the Mary Poppins show at the Capitol Theatre. We were amazed at how wonderful the show was. For me it reminded me so much of the original movie and there was no difference from my point of view - the actors singing, drancing and overall performance was as good as Julie Andrews herself and of course Dick Van Dyke. A truely memorable evening. My niece couldn't stop talking about the show and thoughly enjoyed herself. A night to remember for both of us.,

For the nostalgic or the uninitiated, Mary Poppins has something for everyone, the novel dance sequences, catchy tunes or just a breathtaking walk down memory lane this visual extravaganza should not be overlooked by any age or gender.

We visited Sydney for the weekend and took our 3 children, aged 7 yrs and 10 yrs, to Mary Poppins. What a treat! Not too many differences from the movie, much to our pleasure. We couldn't believe some of the trickery, very clever! Our children were captivated throughout, it was a fabulous family outing.

Went to Mary Poppins musical. Been to many others, Wicked, Phantom and Les Mis but didn't enjoy this one as much.
Found the lighting, costumes and effects good but music is dated, not catchy enough and I didn't feel uplifted by it. Too much cynical stuff and also too long. Would be interested to compare with the movie, is the movie that cynical.?Too much slapstick humour.

Ticketmaster need to point out more clearly too that the Royal Box package of $164 per ticket includes a lot of extras like chocolates and ice cream that you may not want. Cheaper tickets in stalls (we were row N) had just about as good a view as our more expensive one.
Unfortunately didn't enjoy it as much as other musicals I've been to.

Absolutely loved the show. The special effects and the lighting were amazing, as was the set construction. It all added to the 'magic' of the event. Would love to see again! Bought the CD to keep it alive in my memory!

What an amazing show! Mary Poppins was nothing short of one of the best we have seen yet. The entire production was tops, the cast were enthusiastic, performing like it was the first and only show. We didn't want it to end. Seeing Mary fly through the theatre was magical. If anyone gets the opportunity to see this show - don't wait, see it now!

It was fabulous to see a childhood favorite brought to life on stage. It couldn't be same as the movie but the changes are done very well, add extra dimensions, and are closer in storyline to the books which made them satisfying. A very enjoyable evening and I'd love to see it again.

We saw Mary Poppins in Sydney on 24 July. The gorgeous Capitol Theatre was packed full, and the anticipation palpable. From the opening bars of music to the final curtain calls, the entire audience was held enthralled. Seamless scene changes, superb sound and lighting, sumptuous costumes, lively music, engaging performances from each of the characters, breathtaking dancing - it was all there. The time flew by, and we felt that we had been party to some kind of theatre magic - truly SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS!

This show was "practically perfect in every way." Worth the fare from New Zealand. Beautiful scenery, costumes. Acting first class. Lots of fun.
