What can I say? They were amazing. Unfortunately I never saw them the first time round and only really got into them after they broke up. But finally got to see them at Homegrown and they were fantastic! This time round they were just as good, if not better. Time doesn't seem to have impacted on their abilities at all and the crowd loved them. Luga Boa were pretty good, but I got the feeling the crowd wasn't really there to see them. The way the guy from Luga Boa kept on going on about HLAH, it was like he got the vibe.

Anyway, awesome night out and hopefully one to be repeated!

Amazing energy from start to finish. Played lots of favourites. I took a mate along who had not really been exposed to HLAH and he was blown away. I can't wait until the do another tour. Cheers

Incredibly I hadnt seen these guys live before despite being a long time fan. So stoked that they reunited for a tour.
The fellas are getting on now but still put plenty of energy into it and played most of the ol tunes. Left out a couple of notables - Juicy Lucy and Hot Sexy Lusty but that didnt take anything away from the rest of the stuff.

Having not seen the band for many years I went along expecting the unexpected. The band was incredibly tight and as a member of the audience could tell that the band were enjoying themselves. The venue was packed. Booga was like a fabulous, huggable bear on stage who involved the welcoming crowd with his awesome, sexy, gentle presence, very similar to Jim Morrison had he reached passed his 20's! Nigel on guitar was like a younger version of Eric Clapton, he is a master of his instrument and played accordingly. The base player is essentially a musical wizard thumping out his bass licks and Mike on the drums was an integral part of the bands make up and played beautifully. A delightful trumpet playing pixie with a bright red mohawk sashayed in, and with ease belted out her thing to Hootenanny.
A kick arse gig filled with rock, punk, blues and metal. Music doesn't stop it just keeps on growing, so keep it coming HLAH!

Awesome concert at Powerstation Sept 11.
Sound production nowhere near as crisp as at Monte Christo room in March though...or am I expecting too much out of a totally different, bigger venue...?
Unforgettable all the same though!
Legends!!!!!
Best New Zealand band!!!

Head like a Hole is still one of New Zealand great bands and The Powerstation was the place to see them.Hopefully we are going to see a lot more of them.

If i had to think of one word to descripe new zealands classic rock band head like a hole it would be reinvented. These guys have been in this buisness for a long time and it shows!!! They really connected with their audiance, with a mix of young and old coming out to see one of this country's all time best bands. Luga Boa came out with a bang and hlah ended it on a better note. I really enjoyed their cover of bruce springsteens classic "im on fire" and then some more of their heavy tracks, and more recognisable "comfortably shagged". So to sum up their gig i would just have to say it was well worth it, and they put on an amazing show....and they have not lost their greatneses that i remember from my youth!! keep it up guys...new zealand needs you.

HLAH were on fire at The Bedford. I could have gone home happy after Luger Boa, who didn't fail to impress either (as usual), but there is something mighty special about Booga and his motley looking crew. Every expectation I had was met and then some. Best. Night. Ever.

Now they just dont make'm like they used to... fortunately HLAH are back and in their many years off it would seem all they have done is figure out how to kick even more ass!!! Solid to the core these boys just went off! Heavy, Fast, Precise... Hauntingly brilliant. So many flashbacks of many a good night had doing exactly what i did on Saturday night at the Bedford, absolutely heaving to one of the biggest, badest noise machines on the planet. Seriously World Class. WE WANT MORE!!!

My bro and I really enjoyed getting a bit rowdy when the HEAD LIKE A HOLE fullas got up and pumping that coool music out. Really Kicked the night up a gear which made for an awesome time. cheers guys
