Great event, fantastic atmosphere and lots of happy people. Once again Matakana Country Park puts on another stunner of an event. Lovely spot, always well organised so the events run smoothly. (Next time - more seating please!)
The Nudge - Groovy, high energy on stage!
Kora - Awesome set, pulled out some old favourites and got the crowd amping!
Shapeshifter - Chalked up yet another fantastic set and kept the crowd dancing - would have been nice to hear a few more of the old favourites, but still a great show!

This will be my 5th year attending the mighty Shapeshifter at Waihi Beach. Each time I go, there seems to be someone that is yet to experience the band live, or even experience the band live in Waihi. Every one of them has vowed to return the following year.
There is something special about the venue, the crowd and of course the band. Being the last leg or their summer tour, I think it represents a coming of our NZ summer and kickstarts the new year in fine fashion.
The setlist played by the crew was one of the best I have heard from the band, there was a perfect blend of their grimy drum n bass, guitar heavy solos, big-time anthems and P-Digsss vocal power which we all know and love.
Bring on next year!!!!!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE shapeshifter. They are my favorite live performers and you know it's always gonna be a good show without any doubt. This one was just as good as always and I've been to about 8 shows of theirs. Left us all on a massive high and can't wait till the next one!

great show, great vibe, great venue, great music. Boyfriend and I travelled down from Auckland just for the gig. Definately worth every cent spent on the trip.

Regardless of the rain, grey sky and wet floor .... Shapeshifter did not dissappoint. A make shift barn roof had been errected to keep the party dry! The wine in the plastic bottle was a nice touch ... good work Ascension!

Concert was great good venue easy to get a drink just a shame they come on a bit too early so finished at 11.30 was looking forward to seeing them till 12. Still great as usual.

Very dissappointed to be running so late when we arrived at the venue and waiting in the rain for 1.5 hours. I know the rain wasn't ordered....would have been good to have had an extra 1.5 hours playing to make up for it.
The rain caused chaos but was so cool everyone still kept in good spirit.
Sound was great. Crowd was great. They were great :)

Shapeshifter were AWESOME, this is the second time I have been to Powerstation to see them as usually go to Coroglen, Mangawhai or Waihi Tavern but couldn't make it there the last 2 years.
Great gig, venue perfect making the whole event feel very personable with a view eye to eye. I couldn't keep my feet on the ground the whole time they were playing, very lively crowd!!
