Great idea and lots of fun but needs to be better promoted so more people attend. The venue was great. The entertainment was fun but I felt there needed to be more of it and not so spread out through the evening - the disco was fun.

What a shame - a real opportunity to create a great night.
The best thing about the night was everyones participation in dressing up - some geat costumes. The music was great but the food was pretty much non-existant.
The entertainment was good but would not rave about.
A real missed opprtunity to create a spectacular evening.

Arrived at Hopetoun Alpha not exactly sure of what to expect. Warmly invited in by the door staff. free drink on arrival.Gorgeous old building decorated to complement the ball.Watched in awe at the amazing costumes and masks as the people arrived.People attending really took pride in their costumes and masks.
The compere arrived on stage and introduced the evenings entertainment. Singing dancing and high wire acts, burlesque and contortionism. Finger food served almost continuously in between shows, great DJ provided music that kept the floor full during the breaks in the show.Had great fun making my mask and dressing up.Only regret is not having a body that I could wear corsets and stockings and not frighten other people.went with a demure gown instead.Enjoyed this immensely and will definitely add this as a yearly event on my calender.pity its only yearly,What about a Halloween ball?Very well done.

Went to this event last year with three other couples friends. Was such the best night, very relaxing and the event was run very well great shows all night and we were made to feel very comfortable even those of us (our table) that wore a little less than we would normally or have done since....Highly recommended and so can't wait for this years one.
