Hi everyone,
I wouldn't normally write a review, but felt Drewski's review was unfair, rude, and fairly misguided. He has really done well to insult everyone at the show, including myself and the rest of the entire audience! Perhaps he went to the show expecting the songs to be played from a CD....
I loved the show, and will certainly be going next time they are in town! The songlist flowed as the original Pulse tour, perhaps one song was different...? It was a credit to the band to play such complex songs with what appeared to be very little reliance on backing tracks (save for the sound effects of course!).
I wouldn't say the band "looked" like Pink Floyd, but if that worried you, then you have no idea what Pink Floyd were all about. That "Out of work bus-driver" Drewski referred to was amazing! It doesn't matter what you look like, as long as you can play, and he sure could. The lead singer did a truly amazing job singing AND playing guitar for 3 hours straight, it must take incredible concentration. I won't go on about everyone individually, but all were great!
After chatting to a few of the band members after the show (who so kindly shared a quick drink across the road), I was shocked to learn that a few of them even help pack the trucks after the show, now that is commitment!
In short, if you come to this show expecting Pink Floyd, you will be left wanting. Come to this show expecting an amazing band playing Floyd songs LIVE in such a complete way that you won't hear anywhere else, and top it off with an amazing light show.... 3 hours of bliss!
