My 5 year old loved this show - the costumes, dancing, music and story were great. I bought her a Angelina doll which she still carries around with great pride.

I took my 6 year old grandaughter to see Angelina at the Bruce Mason these past holidays. We had a ball.
The dancing was superb the story easy to follow and the music was very varied - something to appeal to everyone's taste.
The character Henry nearly stole the show in the 1st act and the children found him extremely funny with his antics behind the piano.
We loved the second act with all the different styles of dancing and my 6 year old kept saying "that was so cool"
The length of the ballet was just right for a young audience ( 1 1/4 hours) and by going in the evening @ 6.30pm it not only made it special and exciting but she was still home to bed at a reasonable hour.
I also took her to see 'How to train your dragon' these holidays - and when asked which show she enjoyed the most the reply was " Angelina Ballerina hands down definitely".
Be warned - the merchandise is very tempting and at $40 for a Angelina doll it's quite expensive. Having said that Grandad buckled and bought one for our girl but it has been everywhere with her since - very loved.
I felt the programme though $15 was one of the best presented programmes I have bought and we LOVED the idea of putting activity pages in the centre so the children could get days of pleasure after the show.

The performance was lovely and my daughter thoroughly enjoyed it (as did I). Shame about the power going out, especially more than once but that was out of their control.

This ballet was so lovely and just the right length for little ones. My 3 year old daughter was captivated and loved it so much. The costumes were amazing too. We are glad we went along.

Wonderful, delightful and perfectly suited for all those little budding ballerina's out there.
Perfect length show for kids, 2 nice short acts with just enough time at intermission for merchandise purchasing!

Beautiful ballet, although it was a shame it was so late in the evening for little children, as I noticed all the littlies getting a bit restless towards the end. My daughter was 3 and was just old enough, but by the end she was ready for it to finish. I, however, loved it. It was cute, funny and beautiful. Be prepared if you are going though - the merchandise is tricky to resist, particularly when everyone is buying the Angelina dolls - and your daughter sees them!!!!! The dolls are $40 and the programmes are $15 - and unless you can blindfold your child, they will see them! The first act has lots of beautiful ballet dancing however it is a little slow moving, and reading the programme to your child will help them understand the story - as there is no talking and that can be a bit confusing to children! The 20 minute interval is fun and a lot of the children got up and danced around on the side stages. The second act has lots of different dancing and is quite fast paced and fun.

On behalf of my 6 year old granddaughter - she was mesmerised throughout the whole performance. She clapped, copied the hands positioning, moved her feet with the mice' feet , laughed throughout and thoroughly enjoyed the whole performance. I think her favourite character was the naughty mouse who kept pulling the back of the piano down - as did most of the children present - but if she could have gone either into the aisle or on stage with the rest of the mice to dance, she would have done!!!!!

A very enjoyable performance, that captured the attention of all the children in the theatre (who were aged from about 3). My 7 year old daughter loved it. This is a great "first show" to take your kids to.

Angelina Ballerina's Big Audition was a great success for my three grand-daughters aged 3yr 4yr and nearly 5yr. Because the show was fast moving the three little girls where kept engrossed the whole time and we all enjoyed it a lot as well. A great introduction to their first ballet and I only hope that they grow to love it as much as I do.

It was my 6 year old daughter's first Ballet experience and it was magical for her, she loved every moment of it. Fantastic dancing and beautiful costumes.....just marvellous!!!

Our party of 3 female adults and 3 little ballerinas throughly enjoyed watching the Anglelina ballet. The storyline was easty to follow and our little ones were happy with our commentary along the way and only really asked a few questions. They were delighted to recognise characters from the programme and enjoyed watching the different types of dance in the audition sequence.

Angelina Ballerina - I took my 3 1/2 year old and it was fantastic. She was in total awe and chatted about it all the way home. The only problem was that there was an intermission of 20 minutes after the first half hour which had my daugter asking to go home. Such a long wait for everyone to get seated in the beginning and then having to wait another 20 minutes after just 30 mintues of the ballet was just too much waiting for little ones.
Apart from this I would recommend this.

I really enjoyed this ballet with my 6 yr old daughter. The length (around 1.5 hrs) was perfect - any longer and I think she may have zoned out. The dancing was of a good standard as well and overall I thought it was very good value for money. I also really like the Bruce Mason Centre as a venue - smaller, good views all around with plenty of parking.....we had a lovely evening.
