We were very disappointed the children never saw Santa. He should have appeared where the acts were. The music was great and our little ones did enjoy that.

Great family evening, lots of room when moving around the Zoo. Perhaps this has the potential to be a spectacular evening with more stalls and giveaways throughout the entire Zoo - eg: Face painting at the Elephants, Comptetitions at the Giraffes, Sausage sizzle at the Hippo's etc, with the main singing/performing area at the same place. Encourage people to explore the Zoo, and have various people at each post to promote and educate the crowd as they move their way around.
It was, however, a lovely evening out with the kids. Thanks Auckland Zoo!
P.S Our favourite character was 'The Grinch' - what a patient man he was, being by far the most harrased person there!

Favourite moment: My sister won a Nerf Gun by shooting through this tiny hole. Was very proud of her. Shes 39 by the way. @

We met up with my sister family and found a spot to put our blanket. Then we could watch the band and dancing or choose to do an activity. So cool that it was all free once we got in. The Grinch Of Christmas was outstanding - very talented guy. All the staff from the zoo were lovely. Rudolf the MC did an excellent job and the kids loved him. Then bandClub Nerds were a perfect choice, fun for adults and the kids, very entertaining and talented, we missed out on face painting for my 2 year old as we went away as the line was too long for her to wait and when we came back the guy in front told us he was the last. So I recommend you have more face painters next time. And some spot prizes would have been great for best little dancer etc. Once the kids got up and joined in.
