NZI Sevens in Wellington is a fantastic event. The party atmosphere is amazing. Such a huge variety of costumes. Some people have put a lot of thought, time and effort in to their costumes. Overall the Sevens is an amazing event although I would leave the kids at home.

Yet again Hats Off to Wellington City!! My 6th year in a row and this one has to be one of the Best!! WOW!! what an event this was. Costumes galore, absolutely fabulous! The cheerleaders representing each country, the games, the NZI Dancers, the singers, the music, the concourse, the PEOPLE, the atmosphere was just amazing!! The loud cheers for the teams and the idiots that jumped the rails and ran on the field (big Ups to security for the 3 on 1 tackles haha) and of course the final between NZ and England!! What a game!!... NEW ZEALAND, what a team.... NEW ZEALAND, what a country!!

Friday wasn't as good as the other years when I have been. Needed more music to get the crowd going. Music the crowd can sing along to seems to be the way to go. Cheerleaders didn't work out so well. Really enjoyed Saturday, much better atmosphere and of course we won.

The sevens were awesome as usual. Comentators need to get out of their box so when I hear how bad the rain was I assked if we were at the same event. I was sober! Rugby sevens fantastic. Go Declan, Solomon and Toby, go the Bay. Well run excellent event. Thanks for letting us in with our swords this year.

What a fantastic event - like one big fancy dress party with great rugby thrown in. Best advice if you don't like your seats just move to more suitable ones as the Stadium is constantly moving and groups joining up etc.

A great big party!
Amazing fun for adults with a group of friends!
The HK sevens is a lot more family friendly -- the party-goers are a big section at the end of the stadium. In Welly, the whole stadium is a big party.
Fun for the children to see all the costumes, but gets a bit overwhelming as the evening progresses and more and more people become drunk.

This was my 3rd year attending the Wellington Sevens and it will definitely not be the last. What an event!! It is worth the money, the painful feet and headaches that come from having too much of a good time ;) Wellington is definitely the best place to host this event. The stadium and access to the city makes the even pleasurable, I truly hope they never move this event to Auckland! It will not be the same. Thank you so much Wellington for putting up with all the visitors and in particular Jaffas.

It was great to go to a party where everyone was so friendly and fun loving. Sure some over indulged in alcohol but that was a very small minority - the whole crowd was in good spirit and so friendly to each other.
Culturally the crowd was very diverse but all got along so well. All cultural promotions were very well accepted. The poms and the Aussies got a bit of stick, but still the crowd gave credit where credit was due.
I was very proud to be part of this event and very proud of the way all kiwis respected each other in such a diverse group.
This was the real celebration of the Treaty of Waitaingi. The coming together of all New Zealanders.

Great - it was my eighth time but I hadn't been since 2003. Friday didn't seem to have as much as a party atmosphere as normal, think it was the lack of music as the games were straight after each other. Be great if the beer was cheaper or cider didn't run out so early, but otherwise everything was great. The stadium set up was awesome, love never having to queue, just keep walking to the section that doesn't have a big line.

Although the event itself was amazing, i found the parade of nations entertainment on both days to be quite pathetic in comparison to other years (and i've been to 10 of them)
Also the addition of having your Aisle support a nation and cheer them on, i was in Aisle 12 supporting Canada, but the cheerleaders where down the other end of the ground, good idea, poorly executed, they should be allowed in front of the Aisles of the team that they are suppose to be cheering on..... Otherwise they were a waste of space, forget about them for next year.

This was our 8th 7s. The costumes were great but we thought there wasnt as many varibles as last year. A lot of them have been done before and its becoming harder to be original. Still every character on earth is represented way way or the other.Friday was great, Saturday got fairly messy around six, but hey, thats the 7s. Big groups (25+) that stay at their seats, backs to the field standing talking, drinking, seeming getting pist quick for 5 hours are bloody boring. Couldnt see, they got angry when asked to sit or move, lol.Go outside if you are there to talk, you can have just as much fun, may be more. Luvd chilling outside on the concrete people watching on the Friday. Only really settled into our seats (yeah rite) on Saturday, when it got to the business end of the day..luvd it. to quote Arnie...We'll be back!!!!!!!!!!!!! PS We are TWO day people, not part timers :) lol
