Opening act(s): I have completely forgotten the name of the opening act but this was a good choice and their performance was very good and it was fitting to have Christchurch represented. They were deserved of their opening entry to the show. @

This show was nothing short of entertaining, professional and yet you felt it was also a personal experience. I was not expecting too much of Guy Sebastion but his approach and personality showed him to be a caring and impressionable performer. He was able to make those momentary changes such as when he found his piano was not plugged in correctly and lightly dismissed this and proceeded to adjust where needed. His rendition of Amazing Grace was timely and his expressions of sadness over the happenings in Christchurch and other parts of the world was indicative of a person who has feelings, well done I say. His voice range, unbelievable!!
Lionel Ritchie - what an act. The guy is unmatched with vigor, enthusiasm, connection with the audience and superlative skills in musical arrangement. His understanding of the audience and ability to play them to his mood, temporament and energy then to slow them down at will only to pick them up again let's dance again. I am not the world's best and willing dancer but I found myself being hypnotised into submission with his let's go prompting. Bring him on!!! 61 years old you say?? If I am half as fit at the same age I would be so fortunate. And the voice?? Wow!!

Having scored front row tickets, my partner and I had the most fantastic view of two great acts.
Cindy Wilson smiled the for the entire gig; quite obviously from genuine happiness to be performing at such a great venue, for such an appreciative crowd.
Had I been blindfolded, I would have sworn I was listening to a record on a fantastic sound system; Cindy, Kate and Fred's singing was incredible. They have lost nothing with age.
I sang along to every song, and felt quite down the next day with the realisation that it was all over.
The same can be said for Charlie and Craig Reid - a class act!
Hope they both come back soon!

We were there to see Icehouse and we loved it! The bands were good too. Not much food to buy though and toilets were a very long walk from the seats.

I mainly went to see Icehouse, and they were out of this world. Sounded as good as they did they released their first song. They certainly had the crowd up when playing Hey Little Girl and Great Southern Land. I didnt really care much for Hall and Oates, but I was blown away by them. Their first song sounded crap sound wise but as the night went on, it got better (no, it wasnt because I was drinking that they sounded better). I was amazed to hear Hall and Oates sing a song and think, omg, did they sing that. Overall, a fantastic night, great venue (1st time to a concert there) and a fantastic atmosphere. Am looking forward to next years event already.

This was the forth time we've be to A day on the green.The venue was amazing as always, very well organised and set out. the crowd seemed to behave themselves well, no trouble by us,families young and old enjoying the old favourites. Luved Icehouse, they havent changed their sound in 20 years. If I closed my eyes I would have thought I was listening to my old albums, they were "AWESUM",Unfortunatly can't be said of Hall and Oats, although they were good we felt some of their songs had changed, more instumental, caberet ,even. Also they never really interacted as much with the audience as did Icehouse. Some of the audience were yelling bring back Icehouse.However on saying that we had a great night and did'nt have any problems leaving the carpark. We were home by 10 0'clock, it was terrific.We'll be back.

Awesome concert and amazing to see Hall and Oates live in New Zealand at last!! Icehouse were amazing and almost stole the show with their 'Man of Colours' track!! Goodshirt played a great opener and got the crowd in the mood.. Well done to the venue.. Only down side was the allocated seating was very closely spaced leaving not too much room between oneself and ones neighbour!!

I HAD NEVER BEEN TO A CONCERT AT A WINERY BEFORE - IT WAS A SPECTACULAR VENUE. THE BANDS WERE SO COOL HALL & OATES SHOWED THEIR EXCELLANCE IN THEIR PERFORMANCE- WE THE CONCERT GOERS WERE ENJOYING THE MUSIC, FOOD AND DRINK! Both Icehouse and Hall & Oates are truly great artists...and gave a masterclass performance. Always been a mega fan of Iva Davies and band through the years though...great to see that class talent like Icehouse is not wasted in touring!!..An amazing live band as much as I remember when saw them in '87!! Great show all round!

This was a great concert, excellent value for money seeing two brilliant acts at once - Icehouse and Hall & Oates. The venue was also great, not too big so no long waiting queues for anything, nice relaxed atmosphere - much better site than the Mission Vineyard. Would've been good to have a big screen though so we could all see a bit better.

Although as a huge and long-time Icehouse fan I might be ever so slightly biased, this would have to rate as one of the best concerts I've ever been to. They were outstanding and played all their old classics - Love in Motion, Great Southern Land, Hey Little Girl etc. which got the crowd up and dancing. In my view they should have been the headline act. Better still, the band stayed around after their gig and remained at the merchandise tent until everyone who wanted their autographs and photo (including me) had them!

Hall and Oates were great too - although, as a few other reviewers have said, they played re-worked versions of some songs, there was no shortage of entertainment. And opening act Goodshirt also did themselves proud. If I had to find one criticism of the conert, it was that it finished quite early, by about 9.45pm .. but then for a "family friendly" event that's reasonable I guess.

Goodshirt started well. Icehouse were absolutely fantastic, belting out all their great songs, Iva got the crowd going and looked like he was enjoying himself. Bit disappointed with Hall & Oates, Daryl seems to have lost a bit of his voice, Charlie on the sax was brilliant though. Was fantastic weather, all in all a great day :-)

The venue was great, although disabled parking was not well thought out. Goodshirt were very good, entertaining and good natured. Icehouse were amazing! Long performance, then afterwards stayed at the merchandise tent until *everyone* had a chance to get pictures and autographs. The stall ran out of everything Icehouse! Hall and Oats were mediocre - the audience in general were chatting more than listening! They were background music more than centre stage.

Hall and Oates were totally professional as I expected they would be. They had a great band of musicians and played all the hits I wanted to hear. I was disappointed that there weren't more people there and those there didn't seem to appreciate their sheer brilliance. What great harmonising.

Great concert. Very well organized. Would love to come to your next concert on the 11thh February but am unable as will be at the Dooby Brothers in Queenstown. It's a shame there are so many good shows on in the same weekend. Roxette is on in Auckland also which I would have loved to go too.
