There is not much else to say really....Fat Freddy's ARE AWESOME...Cornerstone Roots were great..Loved the young fulla, Trinity Roots were fabulous!!

The Weather was miserable, The security guards were muppet's, The Paua wontons were amazing and the Drop were huge.
The Nudge are also a good party.
Just a pity the security were dropkicks.

thank god for NUDGE...new sound..new style...possibly the band to watch for 2012...FAT FREDDY'S one big boring jam with a few crowd pleasers thrown in..if there is a new album coming...will it be the same TRIP as that journey is wearing thin...IF IT WASNT FOR THE VENUE IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A 2 STAR.....NUDGE YOU GET 4 STARS

A most enjoyable evening at Ascension Vineyard which always hosts wonderful events outdoors & in. Cornerstone Roots certainly played at full bore (quite deafening in fact) but Trinity Roots which preceded Fat Freddy's Drop was a great introduction to the main event.Hundreds of folk swayed to the rythym of Fat Freddy's Drop in front of the main stage. Good food, good company and clear weather all contributed to a top performance.Well done Ascension.

Despite the rain, Black Barn Winery is the best outdoor venue in NZ (Ive been to many). Perfect number of attendees, gorgeous setting. Great concert.

I was disappointed with F F Drop at 'One Drop'.. I know they are into improvisation but there was only one song that i recognised. A lot of the time the song started like it was going to build to something but never did. At one stage we timed 16 min with no lyrics and minimal melody, just the beat. this concert was not what we were expecting..

We had the best time at this gig- hanging out on lawn at first enjoying the good weather (for once!) and then taking off on the dance floor.. Unbelievable performance by all 3 bands- great combo- but FFD played a gig that was unexpected and blew us away. It was like being on a rocket from the get go-what a ride! Great sounds awesome crowd. Honestly musically and overall vibe one of the best gigs I've ever been to and I've lived in LA many years and have seen alot of bands. Love the new songs.

Saturday night saw too many Wellingtonian's jammed into the FrontRoom for the sold out FFD concert. The crowd hummed and surged, the sound boomed until the ears were ringing and the cold outside was dispelled by the sauna like atmosphere inside the venue. An enjoyable evening that possibly a larger venue would have supported better.

I was really looking forward to this event but was extremely disappointed - the sound quality was poor and extremely quiet unless you pushed your way to the very front. I even asked the sound techs if they could turn it up a bit. The songs seemed to waffle on with no direction?? I love Fat Freddys Drop but this concert was a let down. I went outside and found that I was not the only one disappointed . We left early. A real shame :(

Concert was awsm leadsinger 2 die 4 . No seating tho. algd undaerstand why they ddnt but for people like me (aged and cripple) very uncomfortable , but otha then that enjoyed the band.
