Massive attack? Yes it was!!! An explosive display of lights and sound, surrounded and absorbed me into another dimension. After the initiation for the evenings experience bringiing such power and energy, Massive Attack enlightened the crowd with political awareness. The energy and light show easily slipped into and out of upbeat dizzying sounds, interchanging between the new and classic Massive Attack magic. No one would have been disappointed as all of the favourites were performed with excellence, showing the true talent of this group of intuitive musicians.

Favourite moment: At the end of the show when Robert was thanking everybody - I waved at him and he looked, pointed at me and smiled! Yes!! @

Opening act(s): Martina Topley-Bird was the opening act...she was pretty wicked! Did this really cool "loop" thing with a guitar pedal (or something). She rocked!! She pulled off the Massive Attack songs brilliantly too!! @

Oh my gosh!! I've never seen Massive Attack live before and was really keen to see them...so turned up super early to nab my "front row" position!! I have to say it was the best concert I've been to in a very long time!! As soon as I left - I just wanted to go back again!! Can't wait for them to come back!! Hope it doesn't take another 12 years though!

After the disappointment of the Groove Armarda concert, at the Powerstation, I was hesitant to see these guys. I only bought my ticket on the Monday b4 the concert (and after hearing the interview on George too)
Thankfully I wasn't disappointed.
Massive Attack started the show slowly and grinded through their songs building it to the end track and encore. The sound at times - vocals - wasn't clear enough but you could tell that they wanted to prove a point - and they did.
Visuals - loved it - they did not hold back - but the 'screens' should have been bigger to get optimum effect.
I left the concert buzzing. It was money well spent!

After a week I am still thrilling from this concert. Was worried I'd be the tragic oldest person but there were loads of 40 somethings!
Loved every minute and took my hard-to-impress 20 y.o daughter who totally rocked it too!
Fabulous pulsating sound and visuals with intelligent incisive message.
Loved the ultimate long long jam of Atlas Air??
Absolutely faultless - wish I could see them again.

The show itself was breath taking; sound and lighting was great with the visual screens at the back. I enjoyed it thoroughly!!! Loved the quotes and 'freedom of speech' and peace movement they were going for.

Venue, is good. The bar might need some extra hands to do the pouring. The wait at Vector Arena's bar is always tedious!

Wow, love this band have followed them for years and they
certanily didnt let me down, wicked sound, outstanding vocals
from Martina her talent im in aure of. The sounds were pumpn
and the crowd was jumping, it was a "massive" experience, i
hope they return again soon..... ill be there, thanks guys.

after going to the original gig in nz nearly 12 years ago at the logan campbell, i was a little sceptical how this would go at vector given the nature of their music - but the boys (and lovely voices of the girls) didn't fail to blow me away. playing note for note in the beginning of their best tracks and not going off on a sideways self indulgent jam session that so many other bands seem unable to resist - MA kept true to album form until the end of the tune then went loose with a huge crescendo of mind blowing noise - the perfect end to every track and possibly the best sound i've heard in vector yet. absolutely stunning guys, thanks for coming back and doing it again (although heat miser wouldn't have gone astray in the encore, circa 1998!)

Maybe the slickest audiovisual event I've ever seen.
Great amalgamation of the new & old stuff, the classics tweaked a little into Massive Attacks evolved sound.
The clarity of sound thrashing the bass & treble of the new stuff was spot on.
Not a huge crowd, but did NZ proud with their enthusiasm & were much appreciated by the band.
Went 12 years ago, it was good, but this was special.
See you in 12 more, will be worth the wait.
